Message-ID: <85181A0A-B921-42C6-9755-EA5615C254FD@mac.com> Dear Mac friends: Here's hoping you've all had a wonderful holiday season, and that you've been able to experience a new (or gently used) Apple object of your desire. We will resume our weekly Friday workdays at the Goodwill Computer Recycling Center this coming Friday, January 9. We normally arrive about 8:30 a.m. and depart between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m., with an hour's break for lunch. If you'd like to join us, you're welcome to arrive and leave at anytime that fits you're schedule. The Goodwill Computer Recycling Center is at 2600 East Carson St. on Pittsburgh's South Side. Entrance to the building in on the South 26th St. of the building. If you're new to coming to the CRC, stop at the reception desk inside the door and get a visitor's pass. Veterans are asked to continue to wear our gray Apple recycling shirts. To find us inside, go past the reception desk and make the first left. Go down the hall and pass thorough the metal detector (it's to detect stuff going OUT). We're in the big room beyond the metal detector on the far right side. This year brings some new things for us. We've formed a relationship with Northside Common Ministries, a division of Goodwill, and they will be "customers" for Macs we refurbish. They'll be used by their clients for training. We've also revamped our database, and will now track EVERYTHING we touch to provide greater accountability for Apple products in Goodwill's recycling and de-manufacturing system. Thanks to Patrick Cranston, we don't even have to do any work to do this. All the information we now record will be dealt with by his rework of our FileMaker Pro database. All we need to continue to do is enter a Mac model number, its serial number and wether it's a refurbish job or a de-manufacture. The database will account for everything, including adding up the weight of de-manufactured Macs. The database will generate monthly reports to Goodwill of our activities and how many refurbished Macs have been done and are ready for sale. Dave Sevick is gathering information from Goodwill to see how much money our 2008 efforts have generated for Goodwill's programs. As soon as he gets the information, he'll let everyone know. A quick reminder: The NPMUG monthly meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, at MacOutfitters in Cranberry, and the COWMUG monthly meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 8, in the Monroeville Public Library. Unfortunately, my decision to have Phil deliver the Macworld keynote set off another flurry of rumors about my health, with some even publishing stories of me on my deathbed. I?ve decided to share something very personal with the Apple community so that we can all relax and enjoy the show tomorrow. As many of you know, I have been losing weight throughout 2008. The reason has been a mystery to me and my doctors. A few weeks ago, I decided that getting to the root cause of this and reversing it needed to become my #1 priority. Fortunately, after further testing, my doctors think they have found the cause?a hormone imbalance that has been ?robbing? me of the proteins my body needs to be healthy. Sophisticated blood tests have confirmed this diagnosis. The remedy for this nutritional problem is relatively simple and straightforward, and I?ve already begun treatment. But, just like I didn?t lose this much weight and body mass in a week or a month, my doctors expect it will take me until late this Spring to regain it. I will continue as Apple?s CEO during my recovery. I have given more than my all to Apple for the past 11 years now. I will be the first one to step up and tell our Board of Directors if I can no longer continue to fulfill my duties as Apple?s CEO. I hope the Apple community will support me in my recovery and know that I will always put what is best for Apple first. So now I?ve said more than I wanted to say, and all that I am going to say, about this. Steve -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... New 17" MacBook Pro! By Ed Shepard Today at MacWorld, Phil Schiller introduced a brand-new 17" MacBook Pro. The new MacBook shares the revolutionary aluminum unibody construction offered on the MacBook and 15" MacBook Pro. Other specs: * .98 inches thin * 6.6 pounds * The world's lightest and thinnest 17-inch notebook * Features an LED backlit display, with 1920?1200 resolution. 700:1 contrast ratio, and 60% greater color gamut than the previous 17-inch display. * Apple says "This is the best display we've ever shipped in a notebook." * 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Dual Core * 6MB L2 Cache * Up to 8GB memory at 1066 MHz DDR3. * Glass trackpad with four-finger gestures and multi-button support. * 320GB hard drive * Three USB ports * Mini DisplayPort for connecting to Apple's new 24" LED display * FireWire 800 (no 400!) * Digital audio in/out * ExpressCard slot. * Gigabit Ethernet * MagSafe power adapter (duh) * Built-in, non user-replaceable battery. This is an adaptive "smart battery" with built-in chips to maintain maximum charge and lifespan * The battery can last up to eight hours, is good for about five years, and can be charged 1000 times. It is also fully recyclable. * Battery life varies depending on graphics card used. With the 9600GT, battery life if seven hours. It is up to eight hours with the 9400M integrated graphics. * All told, this is three hours longer than the previous 17-inch MacBook Pro, equalling a 60% increase in battery life. * Also, for the first time with the new unibody MacBooks, Apple is offering an anti-glare option. It costs $50 more than the glossy display because the bezel has to be removed after it's already assembled. * $2799.99 Click here to see this MacBook Pro on our website. iWork '09: New Features By Kali Hilke Some big changes were announced to the iWork suite of productivity applications today. Like iWork '08, iWork '09 includes Pages, Keynote and Numbers. Integration and sharing have been vastly improved across the suite, and it still offers excellent Microsoft Office compatibility. The addition of iWork.com is huge. Much like Google Docs, you will be able to collaborate on projects by accessing your files online. Apple has not launched this yet in its full form, but it is available as a public beta once you have purchased iWork '09. In the following articles, you'll find an overview of the highlighted new features. Read more about iWork here. Check out our coverage of Macworld 2009 on our blog. iWork '09: Keynote By Kali Hilke Featured updates: * Easily create sophisticated animations with Magic Move. * Add dramatic object and text transitions using new visual effects. * Visualize your data with new styles and animations for 3D charts. * Dramatically reduce file size without compromising quality. * Create dynamic flowcharts and diagrams using connection lines. * Choose from eight new Apple-designed themes (44 total). * Open, save, and email Microsoft PowerPoint files from within Keynote. iWork '09: Pages By Kali Hilke Pages received a bunch of updates this time around, most notably: * 40 new Apple-designed templates (for over 180 total). * A new full-screen view option so that you can focus only on your writing! * Dynamic outlines allow you to organize your ideas as they come. * Mail merge with Numbers makes adding addresses, names and more really simple. * MathType 6 and EndNote X2 (both sold separately) integration allows you to insert equations or bibliographies (respectively). As always, you can open, save, and email Microsoft Word files from within Pages. iWork '09: Numbers By Kali Hilke Noted features: * Easily create formulas, using visual placeholders with plain language text. * Perform calculations using over 250 functions. * Organize your data instantly using Table Categories. * Check your calculations at a glance with Formula List view. * Create two-axis charts and combine line, column, and area series in a single mixed chart. * Choose from twelve new Apple-designed templates (30 total). * Open, save, and email Microsoft Excel files from within Numbers. Changes in the iTunes Store By Kali Hilke Millions of cheers were heard 'round the world when Phil Schiller announced some of the changes coming to the iTunes Store in April. The main one: all DRM-free music, meaning that songs can be played and burned without restriction. The four major record companies (Sony, Universal, Warner and EMI) are all now on board with the change, which was crucial to feature songs without the DRM encoding. Beginning today, over 8 million songs in the iTunes Store feature: * No DRM restrictions * Higher-quality 256 kbps AAC encoding for audio quality virtually unchanged from the original * Same price for song downloads onto iPhone 3G over their 3G network The remaining 2 million songs in the 10 million+ iTunes library will be available without the DRM restrictions by the end of March. According to Apple, they will offer a "simple, one-click option to easily upgrade their entire library of previously purchased songs to the higher quality DRM-free iTunes Plus format" for 30 cents per song or 30 percent of the album price. Sounds intriguing, but it could get expensive... I say choose your favorites wisely! In April, songs will be available at three price points: 69 cents, 99 cents and $1.29. This will be dictated by what the music labels charge Apple for the above licensing. Read Apple's entire press release here. iLife '09 Update: iPhoto By Kali Hilke iPhoto has gotten many updates in the iLife '09 edition. iPhoto is arguably the most-used application in the iLife suite, behind iTunes. For starters, there are now three ways to sort your photos: * Events * Faces * Places Events was a new way to view and sort photos with the last iLife release, but both Faces and Places are new. Faces relies on face recognition, and assists in tagging photos. Amazingly, it will find a face and ask in other photos if it is the same person... I guess we'll see! There's also integration with Facebook and Flickr. Places works with Google Maps to zoom in on a location. It uses latitude and longitude, and will automatically add a location to your photos. This is great because you'll be able to 'geotag' your entire set of photos. Phil uses the example of "Yosemite" in that if you have just taken a vacation there, it will geotag all of your photos from the trip! I'm really excited to check iPhoto '09 out, especially the tagging and face recognition features. As Don mused, "will it be able to recognize dog's faces, too?" We'll be checking out iLife '09 in detail soon and will give you our feedback in upcoming issues of Tech Tails! Learn more and pre-order iLife 09 here. iLife '09 Update: iMovie '09 By Ed Shepard Apple has updated iMovie '08 to iMovie '09 as part of iLife '09. iMovie '09 was introduced with the statement that iMovie '08 "didn't have all the features that older customers wanted." Apple has added "a bunch of features that should please everyone." Phil Schiller continued to say that Apple has added "depth and power" to iMovie '09. Some of the new features include: * Precision editor with expanded timeline for advanced users. Improved drag and drop of video clips and audio clips. Easier to insert, overlay, replace, and add audio straight from clips. Sound can now be extended from the first clip over audio from the second clip to give pro continuity to edits. Also now easier to skim and see edits before and after cuts. * Automatic video stabilization. The software identifies jittery/bumpy motion and reduces it by comparing frames of video to subsequent and previous frames. Video stabilization along with image stabilization in camcorders can practically create still photos. Two-step process. The first-pass is processor intensive. * Now possible to integrate maps into iMovie projects, including an option for Indiana Jones-style flyovers with a beginning and end point. * iMovie once again supports DVD chapter makers and titles for use with iDVD '09, which is very welcome news. Other features include new themes complete with titles, transitions and credits. "Clip adjustment" includes a slider to speed up or slow down video clips (which was mystifyingly absent in iMovie '08). A new Project Library shows you all your film clips. New video effects have been added with instant previewing; no rendering is necessary. Read all new changes by clicking here. Personally, the announcement of iMovie '09 was the most exciting event at this Macworld. I can't wait to try it out. It sounds like creating engaging, attractive videos will be more fun than ever. Learn more and pre-order iLife '09 here. iLife '09 Update: GarageBand By Ed Shepard At Macworld, Phil Schiller introduced a new version of GarageBand. The biggest new feature is called "Learn to Play." It is designed to teach people to play instruments such as guitar and keyboards. You see the a representation of the instrument on the screen with a video of the instructor facing you. Celebrity instructors include Sting, Sarah McLachlan, John Fogerty, and more. Apple says "learn to play a hit song from the artist who made it famous," which I think sounds pretty cool. Additional video lessons can be purchased from the new GarageBand store for $4.99. iLife '09 Update: iWeb, iDVD By Ed Shepard iWeb also received minor updates for Macworld. In iWeb, it's now easier to upload websites and website changes to MobileMe or to your own server via FTP with a single click. Like iWeb '08, iWeb '09 uploads only your changes when you publish, so you'll enjoy quick site updates. iWeb will now notify your Facebook friends when you update your site. Simply link any iWeb site to your Facebook account. Following an update, iWeb adds the changes to your profile, alerting your friends and providing them with a handy link. It's now also easier to add web widgets to your site that update automatically. iDVD didn't appear to get any new features beyond performance and stability improvements. iMovie once again supports DVD chapter makers and titles for use with iDVD '09, which is very welcome news. Learn more and pre-order iLife '09 here. Picasa for Mac - Better Late Than Never! By Ed Shepard On Monday, Google finally released a public beta of Picasa for the Mac. Picasa is a free desktop app for importing, editing, organizing and sharing digital images--particularly digital photos. Picasa for Macs is a free download from Picasa.google.com/mac/ . You need an Intel Mac running OS 10.4 or later. Picasa has been a popular photo app on the Windows side for years. It shares some features with iPhoto, and adds some unique killer features. These include the ability to sync your Picasa desktop and Picasa Web Albums edits, screen captures, create and edit movies within Picasa, add text/watermarks to photos, manage folders on your computer, a collage creation, screensaver creation, and Facial-recognition technology. Privacy and sharing settings can be adjusted for individual photos, collections or for your entire library. Preliminary tests show Picasa to be as fast or faster than iPhoto and easy and elegant to use. We'll test further and review Picasa in detail in the future. Google also offers Picasa Web Albums, which is an excellent web service for sharing and organizing photos. This has been Mac-compatible for years. There is an iPhoto plugin if you want to use Picasa Web Albums without necessarily using the desktop version of Picasa. Click here to download this. Also, the new version of iPhoto '09 looks amazing. News about Picasa for Mac has been swept under the rug with the announcement of iPhoto '09. Picasa Web Albums integrates tightly with Google's Blogger service, along with many other blog platforms and web services. Picasa Web Albums is very easy to use, uploading is a breeze, and photos are nicely displayed online. Picasa Web Albums offers up to 1GB ("enough space for 4,000 wallpaper-size photos") of photo hosting for free. Flickr is still more popular and has deeper social network components then Picasa Web Albums. Again, we'll do a detailed comparison in the near future -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Apple now has shared calendaring in iCal but it requires a full server deployment and still has many limitations. BusyMac - makers of a great utility that allows you sync iCal Calendars has announced BusyCal a full featured Calendar app for the Mac which I think is definitely worth taking a look at. http://www.busymac.com/busycal.html Patrick Cranston Cranston Consulting & Media, Inc. 888-813-5558 www.CranstonInc.com patrick at cranstoninc.com Skype: phcranston From fozard at nauticom.net Sun Jan 11 21:40:12 2009 From: fozard at nauticom.net (Fozard) Date: Sun, 11 Jan 2009 23:40:12 -0500 Subject: [NPMUG] The "Greening" of Apple - according to "Tech Radar" Message-ID: <496AC9AC.9000308@nauticom.net> Some plaudits, some slaps @ Apple. http://www.techradar.com/news/computing/apple/how-green-is-apple--498730?artc_pg=1 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Every year I would wait in great anticipation for the Macworld Expo to come to the Bayside Expo in the summer. Some years it was so big, that it spilled over to the World Trade Center. When Apple (AAPL ) decided to discontinue the Boston Expo, I was saddened because I felt a part of the Mac community was now dead. And my fear was that as the community became marginalized, that Apple would lose market share, which it did by the way. Back in the early days of Mac, mid 80s to early 90s, there was a definite community. In fact I participated in that community in a material way. I belonged to, and was an active member in, the Boston Mac Users Group (BMUG ), and I ran the MacMentors Bulletin Board Service, or BBS. For those too young to remember, BBSs were the precursor to the Internet. It was a dial-up service that was interconnected with tens or even hundreds of other like services. My BBS had four 2400 baud modems attached and over 2,000 users from all over the world. It was truly a community, with a self nurturing culture. I was also a speaker at several Macworld conferences and some of the New York City based conferences, and consulted in the field of electronic publishing. The Boston Macworld Expo was a critical part of maintaining that community culture because it gave us Macophiles a chance to meet face to face, and to share the unique experience that was Mac, the computer for the rest of us. Back then Apple was barely a $1 billion dollar company and losing ground under the uninspiring leadership of Scully, Amelio and then Spindler. Apple needed the community to hold itself together and survive. And how ironic was it that Steve Jobs was ousted from Apple because the board of directors didn't believe he had the ability to run a billion dollar enterprise. So, they tried their hand with corporate veterans, like Pepsi man John Scully. What does a guy hocking soda know about personal computers? Anyway, Steve comes back and re-injects his vision, takes Apple back to its roots by recognizing the customers that got it to that point, and then proceeded to expand that customer base. But that's when the community started to fade. Apple was outgrowing the need for a community, and also outgrowing the need for regional expos, because it was interfering with the natural product cycles and marketing plans that were bringing the company back to life. Apple, under the leadership of Steve Jobs, was growing up, and turning into an efficient machine that embraced the purist forms of capitalism. The faithful were still there, and always will be, but Apple expanded its base by delivering products that people wanted, and by knowing who those people were. The vision that launched the Mac initially was a closed system, it was simple and elegant, and made computing fun and easy. Apple accomplished this through total control over every aspect of the design and delivery of the product. When Steve left, this vision waned. When he returned, so did the vision. Jobs recognized that in order to rekindle its success, Apple needed to control not only the supply chain, design and marketing, but also the sales and support end too. So, that's why it opened the Apple Stores. The mom and pop shops and the big box retailers weren't cutting it. They were unable to deliver the level of support and the total experience that was encased in the Steve Jobs vision. The most recent implementation of this vision was shedding the shackles of Macworld. Apple no longer needed Macworld, in fact it was becoming a ball and chain to their future plans. And while some Mac fanatics feel that Apple has dissed them, and snubbed their noses at what was left of the Mac community, what these fanatics failed to realize is that the Mac community died many years ago. The new pseudo community is a bit more sterile. But the brick and mortar Apple Stores, the Apple online store, and the iTunes and App stores, provides a much more efficient and useful experience for the customers, and that's the bottom line. Apple can no longer be bound by the timing of Macworld. Early January simply doesn't work for it. This became amplified as Apple started to switch major product announcements to the World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), and other ad-hoc venues. Apple's VP Phil Schiller expounded on this point to David Pogue after his Macworld keynote, explaining that having to come up with another dazzling show every January--a huge production, starring knock-'em-dead new products every year--was unsustainable. Speaking to Apple product cycles: the holiday season (Novemberish), the educational buying season (late summer), the iPod product cycle (October), the iLife development cycle (usually March), the iPhone cycle (June). January doesn't fit ANY of them. So it's clear, the community aspect of Macworld is no longer needed or wanted by Apple. And there are far better, and more efficient ways for Apple to move product. Maintaining a community isn't one of them. The Apple community is dead, long live the Apple community. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Does size really matter? Issues of size versus extra cost have been raised about the purchase of new laptop computers for Nebraska state senators ? although the purchase has plenty of defenders within the Capitol. About 70 new Apple MacBook Air computers were purchased this session for state legislators at a cost of $1,524 each. The aluminum-encased laptops, which can fit inside a 10-by-13-inch Manila envelope, are billed as the "world's thinnest" notebook computers. They weigh in at a svelte 3 pounds ? 5 pounds less than the laptops they replaced ? and are 0.75 of an inch thick. A more plastic-laced Apple laptop, the MacBook, retails for about $500 less ? $999. The MacBook is a chubbier 4.5 pounds and 0.95 of an inch thick. //end clip // see entire article at: http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_page=2798&u_sid=10534817 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Now that we're newly-bureaucratized, I can precisely tell you we refurbished 12 Macs, bringing our all-time total to 1,625. I can also tell you we de-manufactured 16 Macs into recyclable parts along with several other miscellaneous items totaling 532.2 pounds. As you can see, this can quickly turn into a statistics-laden tome so I'll keep future reports short and sweet. We will meet again this Friday, Jan. 16., but we'll begin later than usual. Someone should be there by 10:30 a.m., and I'll be joining everyone as soon as I get out of the dentist's chair. We normally conclude between 4:00 and 4:30, and we usually break for lunch around noon. I hope to see you there... Robert A. Unfortunately, the curiosity over my personal health continues to be a distraction not only for me and my family, but everyone else at Apple as well. In addition, during the past week I have learned that my health-related issues are more complex than I originally thought. In order to take myself out of the limelight and focus on my health, and to allow everyone at Apple to focus on delivering extraordinary products, I have decided to take a medical leave of absence until the end of June. I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for Apple?s day to day operations, and I know he and the rest of the executive management team will do a great job. As CEO, I plan to remain involved in major strategic decisions while I am out. Our board of directors fully supports this plan. I look forward to seeing all of you this summer. At least that?s how the NYT described his style, approach, manner ? naming rival Hillary Clinton a PC about a year ago. The soon-to-be 44th president of the United States, who addresses citizens via YouTube and Twitter, is also a Mac user who has been spotted flashing an iPhone, keeps up with his family via iChat, whose ?O? logo was designed on a Mac and whose campaign was powered by MacBooks. Obama has said they?ll have to pry the Blackberry out of his hands and, in addition to the more obvious firsts, may be the first president to put a lap top in the Oval Office. (It would give him something in common with Russian President Dimitry Medvedev, who has been photographed doing official business on his MacBook.) "The Cook Doctrine at Apple" Message-ID: There was a great quote captured from Apple Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook on Wed Jan 21, when he was asked about how Apple would work without Steve Jobs : We believe that we are on the face of the earth to make great products and that?s not changing. We are constantly focusing on innovating. We believe in the simple not the complex. We believe that we need to own and control the primary technologies behind the products that we make, and participate only in markets where we can make a significant contribution. We believe in saying no to thousands of projects, so that we can really focus on the few that are truly important and meaningful to us. We believe in deep collaboration and cross- pollination of our groups, which allow us to innovate in a way that others cannot. And frankly, we don?t settle for anything less than excellence in every group in the company, and we have the self-honesty to admit when we?re wrong and the courage to change. And I think regardless of who is in what job those values are so embedded in this company that Apple will do extremely well. This only confirms my recent statements that the discipline Steve Jobs instilled into his team is taken seriously .... and that is a good thing for all of us Mac users who can continue to brag about how great our Macs are .... and only reinforces why people continue to buy Macs and iPhones and iPods , even in the face of a deep recession. In this short but interesting article by Adam Lashinsky at CNN-Money he goes on to speak about the "deep bench" at Apple .... built by Steve Jobs. http://gowest.blogs.fortune.cnn.com/2009/01/22/the-cook-doctrine-at-apple/ -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Darrell Etherington Jan. 26, 2009 | Depending on how closely you stick to the word of the law, you may or may not be aware of the potentially dangerous trojan called ?OSX.Trojan.iServices.A? unleashed on some of the Mac community last week via a pirated copy of iWork ?09. The trojan, discovered by Mac security software company Intego, allows the distributor of the malicious software to access and modify the affected system remotely, performing actions such as adding files. Such a vulnerability is potentially fatal to an operating system. According to Intego?s numbers, more than 20,000 people have downloaded the affected file, a number which also says something about Apple?s ability (or desire?) to curb piracy of its proprietary software. Instructions on how to rid your computer of the virus in case you are among that unlucky 20,000 can be found here, but they can?t take away your shame. This week, another round of infections has appeared, this time targeting a different, but similar group of pirates. The victims are users who downloaded a pirated copy of Adobe?s popular photo editing program, Photoshop CS4. Again, the people responsible for finding and broadcasting the existence of the trojan are Intego. This one is aptly dubbed ?OSX.Trojan.iServices.B?, and actually comes from the serial generator that packages with the Photoshop installer, and not the installer itself. The CS4 trojan presents the same risks as the iWork ?09 version. Intego reports 5,000 downloads to date. With two such high-profile virus detections coming so closely on each other?s heels, the question inevitably arises: Is Mac?s status as a highly secure option to Windows in danger? Clearly, Mac users are beginning to present a more attractive target to hackers, because the platform itself is becoming more popular. Not only that, but Mac users may be even more susceptible than others, since they traditionally haven?t had to worry much about malicious attacks. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Windows computer have this problem because programs can install and replicate themselves without a user having to grant permission for the program to do so. On a Mac computer this is not the case. Programs have to be installed by a user. The user has to give permission ( ie enter a username and password ) for a program to access the core parts of the operating system. The "viruses" mentioned in this post they are really Trojan horses. Users are tricked into thinking they are installing one piece of software when really they are installing something else. In this case they are downloading and installing a pirated copy of iWork 09. The people who posted the software for download have modified the download package to install other nasty programs when the user gives permission to install the pirated iWork. The real story is not "Mac Viruses on the rise" but a more basic fundamental lesson that should have been learned in kindergarten "Don't steal and don't eat candy from strangers" Imagine if you were walking down the street and there was a shady character standing at the street corner handing out free opened bottles of Coke. You take the coke, drink it and die of cyanide poisoning 3 minutes later. Should the newspaper headline read - "Coke now has the potential kill you." or should it read "Stupid idiot dies after accepting stolen soft drink from miscreant who laced drink with cyanide." In these cases the problem is not weaknesses in the Mac OS. The problem is weakness in people's character who don't want to pay for software, music, videos etc... because they somehow feel that they are owed these things for free. Bad people exploit these weaknesses to then wreak havoc on your computer and steal your identity. Only download and install programs from trusted sources on the internet and you won't find yourself lying on the pavement wishing you had just gone into the store to buy the drink.
